Burlington Arcade to celebrate Chinese Year of the Dragon

Events start on 9 February, Chinese New Year's Eve, with a calligraphy artist creating Chinese "福" (fu) art within the arcade, symbolising “blessings, fortune and good luck”. Visitors to the arcade will have the opportunity to watch the artist at work from 1-4pm and take their own pieces of fu art home.

On Chinese New Year’s Day (10 February), China's national dancers from Guangdong province will travel to London to celebrate the occasion. Sixteen Puning Yingge dancers, including national representative inheritor Laifa Chen, will be performing the traditional Yingge Dance in London’s national landmarks. This includers a Yingge Dance at the Burlington Arcade with visitors experiencing an hour-long performance along the 196-yard walkway between 11am-12pm.
