New Beijing: New Destinations for International Visitors

Beijing has a long history as the ancient capital of China during the six dynasties, with a history of more than 3,000 years as a city and more than 860 years as a capital. Beijing has the charm of outstanding people and a beautiful land, where China’s splendid culture and art are gathered, leaving behind numerous famous historical sites and cultural landscapes.

On 27th July 2024, the “Beijing Central Axis -A Masterpiece of Chinese Ideal Capital Order” was officially inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list, becoming the 8th World Heritage site of Beijing.

In addition, Beijing has seven other World Heritage Sites, including the Forbidden City, the Great Wall, the Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace, the Yuanmingyuan Garden, the Ming Tombs, and the Zhoukoudian Ruins.

Beijing is also the centre of China’s international communication, a modern cosmopolitan city that is open, tolerant and hospitable.

“It is not a bad idea to have friends come from afar,” Beijing upholds the oriental way of etiquette and welcomes friends from all over the world.
