ANTOR (Association of National Tourist Offices and Representatives), headquartered in London with a 70-year history, comprises nearly 60 members, all of which are UK-based representatives of national, regional, or city tourism boards. This event aims to create a platform for exchange between tourism destinations and major UK travel media, and it includes the selection of the year’s best travel media. It is one of ANTOR’s key annual promotional events. As a newly joined member, the China National Tourist Office London participated in this media awards ceremony for the first time.

“China is the world’s largest domestic tourism market, the biggest source of international tourists, and a major destination. Recently, China has implemented several new policies, including a 144-hour visa-free transit policy, a 15-day visa exemption for citizens of 12 countries, a 15-day visa exemption for cruise ship tour groups, and the enhancement of payment services for inbound tourists. These measures are gradually addressing entry difficulties and concerns, actively promoting the recovery and development of inbound tourism. We warmly welcome all the media friends to visit China and experience the high-quality development of China’s tourism industry,” said Zhang Li, Director of the China National Tourist Office London, extending an invitation to the attending media guests during the presentation.

Following the remarks, the latest promotional video, “China Travel – Nihao! China,” produced by The China National Tourist Office London, was shown to the audience. The video introduced China’s optimised visa policies and enhanced payment conveniences, while showcasing the country’s rich and profound history and culture, trendy modern lifestyle, and new developments in green and eco-friendly tourism. The UK media representatives responded enthusiastically, praising China for its vastness, historical depth, and notable progress in eco-friendly travel. Many expressed a strong interest in visiting China and sharing its tourism developments with a wider British audience.
