
China to extend unilateral visa-free policy for over 40 countries
China will extend its unilateral visa-exemption arrangements with over 40 countries until 31st December 2026.
Also, China will include Sweden in the visa-free program from 10th November 2025, to 31st December 2026.
Under the policy, holders of ordinary passports from countries including France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Ireland, and Hungary will be exempt from visa requirements if they enter China for business, tourism, family or friend visits, exchanges, or transit. They can stay in China for up to 30 days without a visa.
The eligible countries are:
France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria. Belgium, Luxemburg, Australia, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Slovenia, Slovakia, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Monaco, Liechtenstein, Andorra, South Korea, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Malta, Estonia, Latvia, Japan, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Uruguay, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain.
